Reap Technical Services is a small family business company, incorporated through the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) to empower and assist the rural communities in the use of appropriate technologies in the areas of rural electrification, rural communications (FM broadcasting, telephones, satellite, computer), rural water supply systems, renewable energy systems (solar, wind and hydro), rural farming (food crops, coconut, cocoa), downstream processing (food, coconut oil) and land tenure. Reap Technical Services also provides secretarial and stationary services to the rural communities. With a workforce of four experience and dedicated staff, the company can meet the needs of the rural communities in the above technical service areas. Reap Technical Services knows and has seen the real needs of the rural communities and will use the bottom up planning to assist the communities in their real needs. The overall goal of the company is to work with the rural grass roots people, empowering and assisting them to improve their quality of life with the expertises that the company has. We can make a change for a better tomorrow for the rural communities. The company performs a number of functions based on social ethics and environmental sustainability. Our aims and objectives include the following: To empower, educate and assist the rural communities in all aspects of using energy from renewable sources,

and living and developing it in a sustainable way. To empower, educate and assist the rural communities in using and developing their water supply systems in a sustainable way. To empower, educate and assist the rural communities in using and developing their land in a sustainable way. To empower, educate and assist the rural communities in developing and managing their farms in a productive and sustainable way. To empower, educate and assist the rural communities to be self reliance in the downstream processing products. To aid the rural communities in improving their living standards by educating and trading with them in renewable energy and water supply products. To assist and trade with the rural communities in their needs of secretarial and stationary services.

The mission of the company is to empower and assist the rural communities in appropriate and sustainable technologies to improve their quality of life under the theme; You reap from what you sow. The overall goal is empowering, assisting and working together to improve the quality of life of the grassroots people living in the rural communities. Empowering the rural people by assisting them, and with their participation, in the various activities in their communities.

Services that we provide:

Design, costing and installation of village micro-hydro, solar, and wind power systems. Design, costing and installation of village water supply systems. Consultancy, costing and installation of downstream processing system. Consultancy in land tenure including farming of cash crops. Surveying, and mapping of customary land. Prepare project proposal documents. Sales of micro-hydro, solar and wind power system equipment and accessories. Sales of water supply system equipment and accessories. Secretarial services, and Sales of stationary supplies.

Reap Technical Services is based on the outskirt of Lae city at Bumayong in the Morobe Province to assist the rural communities in the Morobe Province. The company also has a representative in Madang to assist the rural communities in the Madang and Sepik Provinces.

Vision and Mission Statement:

The vision of the company is to be a community-based appropriate technological service company in the Morobe and Madang Provinces.

We are located at Bumayong trading approximately five kilometres north industrial city. We are in the center of ethnic communities of Papua New centre, of Lae various Guinea
