Background Wanasom is the first wellness and aesthetic resort located in the most beautiful Universitys campus in Thailand

that is Mae Fah Luang University. Wanasom have a fully facilities and lanna service. The word of Wanasom come from Wana in Thai language refers to a forest and Asom means a residence. For Thai Wanasom is a residence in serene atmosphere. Wanasom situated on a restful lakeside amidst a natural tropical forest and mountains, and only 10 kms. From Chiang rai international airport. For Wanasom facilities: Room has 6 lakeside chalets, and 40 grand deluxe suites with fabulous Lake and Mountain View. The conference room is available at Mae Fah Luang University. Also Wanasom is has a health food cuisine. The Activities for pleasure are health cuisine, cooking class, painting classes, and meditation. Wanasom is near by Golf courses, Elephant Trekking, River tour Hill tribe Villages, Tea plantations, and Royal projects of Mae Fah Luang University Foundation at Doi Tung. After we observation and talking with staff at Wanasom resort. Its make our know that, there are still have many problem that need to be resolved. For example, few numbers of staff, doesnt have a clean place, and low technology of operating system. We are see the way that possibility to solve the problem and defined it in this report. We hope that Wanasom resort will have more quality for increase sales and have more customers. To get high profit in the future.

Problems/obstacles We separate problem that found in wanasom resort into 3 parts. These are just the aspects we think could improved to develop wanasom resort. First part is environment; wanasom resort is located inside a university. The swimming is opening every day for students. Its not fair for the guest who paid the money to live there, they cannot enjoin the environment. They wished that totally peace. Because student way cause lots of noisy sound and the road is small path inside the resort seems lean and it become dangerous when raining. Second part is staff; staff in wanasom resort have less than guest and not enough. And staff in wanasom almost is people in local area, employee need to be train. Third part is technology. The operating system in wanasom resort use only Microsoft excel program. It uses in front office department and administration only. This program not related to another department such as housekeeping.

Alternative solution We find to solve problem in each part; First part is environment, the university may restrict student to go swim in wanasom resort or set up a time schedule to open wanasom resort for student hourly. This may not disturb the guests inside resort any more and also fair to the student who wish to swim there. For road, there should be some signs to warn guests its dangerous to walk on the path when raining or doing some instruction and facility of resort should be checked and cleaned regularly. Second part is staff. Staff needs to get training and recruit qualified staff. Human resources of wanansom resort have to make program of train staff for local staff to get more knowledge and skills. Third part is technology, wanansom resort must be improved the operating system by change program from Microsoft excel to Comanche operating or Fidelio operating. This program can manage and relate to every department in resort such as front office, housekeeping, sale and marketing etc to coordinate about information or data of guest, to provide the best quality service for guest. That make guest satisfy when come to wanasom resort and make wanasom resort to successful.

Action plan

We have action plan to find the way to improved wanasom resort into 2 terms; 1. Short - term action plan - We will make regularly for restrict student to go to swim in wanasom resort. We will set up time schedule to open wanasom resort for student only 3 times per week. - We will make some signs to warn guest will beware themselves. 2. Long term action plan

Human resource of wanansom resort must create program for training staff and recruit qualified staff for work with wanasom resort. And have program to evaluate their staffs such as questionnaire from guest that get service from staff. Wanasom resort should buy program Comanche operating or Fidelio operting to improved organization in wanasom resort. This program can help wanasom resort to organized information or guest to make the best service quality. Every department can coordinate with each other for get team working in their organization.

For short term action plan we will be improved with in 6 month to year. And long term action plan we will improve within 1-3 years.
