ABSTRACT

Man has come a long way in terms of development over a period of time. His inventions was breakthrough in technology, which has enabled man to simplify many jobs.

This project aims to make the operation of elevator controlled by human voice.
Pressing buttons of respective floors is difficult when a person is blind, physically challenged or is having lot of luggage in hands.

MICROPHONE
oA microphone is an acoustic-toelectric transducer or sensor that converts sound into an electrical signal. oThe sensitive transducer element of a microphone is called its element or capsule. o A complete microphone also includes a housing, some means of bringing the signal from the element to other equipment, and often an electronic circuit to adapt the output of the capsule to the equipment being driven. o A wireless microphone contains a radio transmitter.

VOICE RECOGNITION MODULE

Speech recognition basically means talking to a computer, having it recognize what we are saying, and lastly, doing this in real time. This process fundamentally functions as a pipeline that converts PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) digital audio from a sound card into recognized speech.

Transform the PCM digital audio into a better acoustic representation Unit matching system Lexical Decoding Apply a "grammar Figure out which phonemes are spoken

STEPPER MOTOR

A stepper motor is an electromechanical device which converts electrical pulses into discrete mechanical movements. The shaft or spindle of a stepper motor rotates in discrete step increments when electrical command pulses are applied to it in the proper sequence. The speed of the motor shafts rotation is directly related to the frequency of the input pulses and the length of rotation is directly related to the number of input pulses applied.

IR TRANSMITTER

IR RECEIVER

IR RECIEVER

Normally the port maintains logic high state when the signal light is at OFF state; it maintains logic 0 when it is at ON state. The program written in the micro controller gets the data from the port pin transfers appropriate code to the serial buffer 89S52. The 300bps is developed from the basic crystal frequency 11.052MHz. The frequency is divided to 300bps with the help of internal timer counter register. The transmitted data is given to the IR modulator. IR RECIEVER: The receiver is having IR photo diode and IR processing comparator opamp This asynchronous data is given to RXD pin of micro controller the data received at RXD pi of the micro controller converts into parallel subsequently stores in serial buffer. The serial setting is same as the setting of transmitter

LCD DISPLAYS

LCD screen is an electronic display module and find a wide range of applications.

A 16x2 LCD is very basic module and is very commonly used in various devices and circuits.

These modules are preferred over Seven segments and other multi segment LEDs.

Reason : LCDs are economical, easily programmable,

and have no limitation of displaying special and even custom characters.

It can display 16 characters per line and there are 2

such lines.

In this LCD each character is displayed in 5x7 pixel matrix.

ADVANTAGES AND APPLICATIONS

ADVANTAGES: Can easily operate elevator by simply speaking. Boon for physically challenged people. Cost of manufacture is less. Flexibility of using in various applications. Speech recognition allows for quick response and recovery of stalled hardware. Simple circuitry: no special or proprietary hardware is required, can be incorporated into the integrated circuit of a product. APPLICATIONS: Easily applicable in various industries and in apartments also. Voice controlling capabilities eliminate the need for manual power audits as well as provide immediate alerts to potential problems The ability to speech control at the rack level can provide a huge return on investment by providing savings in both man hours and downtime. It can be optimized for many applications. Suitable for voice control robots.

CONCLUSION
Speech is the primary and most convenient means of communication between humans. Speech recognition is the process of recognizing the Spoken word to take necessary actions accordingly. The controlling devices of the whole system are Microcontrollers. Speech recognition module, wireless transceiver modules, and DC motors are interfaced to Microcontroller. In this project, a simple but reliable approach to control lift by speech recognition is presented. We Conclude that this project will be useful to everyone
