ASSERTIVE APPROACH TOWARDS WOMEN ANAND-SNSF SYNERGY

1. Numerous programs addressing health, literacy, and credit services are in place. SNSF focuses on the largely neglected area of employability & skills development of youth and preparing them for the challenges of the 21st Century market place.

2. Therefore, opening opportunities for young girls and women to see them through varied levels of skills development, coaching for admission into technical vocational courses and taking them beyond to facilitate opportunities in technologically sophisticated employment sectors now opened up in India, are SNSFs current focus.
3. SNSFs micro-credit programmes target poor women and other vulnerable groups. These programmes share modicum evidence to demonstrate their role in reducing poverty levels by encouraging women to develop enterprises. 4. Expansion of economic and social opportunities for women, reduce disparities, and result in greater participation in decision making in the home, further reflected in their participation in the democratic process of their immediate neighborhood. 5. A balancing of the push to accelerate economic growth through employability is matched by efforts towards life-style changes. Proposed training activities are designed to demonstrate enhanced human well being.
