Corporate research lab. 1912- Developed Pyrex i.e. Cornings version of Borosilicate Glass 1940s- Company began to develop television tubes for color TV sets. 1966- Supplied a sample of high quality glass rods to determine the performance in transmitting light in response to British P.O. & British Ministry of Defense. 1970- Research group developed a composition and fiber design that exceeded the target performance.

POST 1970s
