Flex 1000
The small cross sectional size of the Flex 1000 is advantageous because it allows our customers to run the rails into exceptionally tight areas, like the heels of the die. This design also permits earlier entry and exit into the die when the window is opening or closing, giving additional die timing windows to work in and the capability of running at faster speeds. The FLEX 1000 is capable of transferring up to 300 pounds of parts and tooling and features a transfer stroke of 0 36. The FLEX 1000 has eight standard die stations, but may be equipped with more in certain applications. The overhead mount design allows easy access to the dies. The bolster is left open for scrap removal and the windows of the press are clear for part feeding equipment. The transfer rails are supported along the length of the rail rather than the ends, giving the Flex more rigidity and less deflection than our competitors. As with all Flex transfer systems, jog capability (both forward and reverse) are independent of press actuation, allowing for cycling without the risk of die interference.

Flex 3000
The Flex 3000 tri-axis, in press transfer is identical to our FLEX 5000 transfer, but was designed with lighter loads in mind. Equipped with independent electric servo drives for each motion of lift, clamp and transfer, the Flex 3000 consists of two modular units, one located on the front of the press and the other located on the rear of the press. Atlas transfers provide the highest production rate capabilities on the market due to the patented design feature which puts the lowest inertia on the transfer axis. This low inertia design feature provides the capability to accel/decel the transfer axis faster, and since the transfer axis is a much longer stroke distance than the clamp and lift axis, the accel/decel of the transfer axis is what provides the highest production rates available.

Flex 5000
The Flex 5000 has the highest payload capacity of our tri-axis transfers. Capable of smoothly and precisely transferring up to 1,200 pounds of parts and tooling, due to our fully programmable transfer path. As with the Flex 3000, the long axis of the two individual units is split, which makes it possible to have two separate pitches and adapt to conditions where the pitch is longer within the first group of dies in the press and shorter for smaller dies. The Flex 5000, as with all of our Flex transfers can be easily retrofitted into existing transfer presses, or integrated with a new press. The Atlas tooling rail is smaller and lighter weight than our competitor's rail which allows larger blanks and parts to run through the window of the press. The lack of a drive base on one end of the press provides a clear access for the destacking, coil feed and exit conveyance equipment, along with less floor space consumption. All Flex functions are guided by anti-friction, high performance linear bearings while racks and pinions power the lift and clamp axis and timing belts drive the transfer axis.

Flex 6000
The newly designed Flex 6000, through the window transfer has been engineered to manage the biggest and most difficult applications effortlessly at top production rates. The Flex 6000 incorporates four independent transfer modules which are duplicated on each press column. Each of the four modules have their own drive train and servo motors which provide for multiple axis of programmable adjustment and nearly unlimited flexibility. Shared servo drives for each individual motion diminishes the drive train size and eliminates mechanical linkage and/or drive shafts. This provides exceptionally smooth part transfer at the highest strokes per minute, while maintaining control of the parts. Access to the die is simplified over our competitors and is accomplished with ease because the transfer rail is built in three sections. This unique Atlas feature has been developed so that the two end sections separate and retract simultaneously while the center portion of the rail is locked into position on the bolster. This not only ensures the safety of the operators and the equipment, but also provides accurate positioning of the transfer rail.
