Training Policy Introduction


With the growing demand of energy and the emerging technologies the expectations from the consumers have enhanced and therefore expectations from the employees with respect to their productivity have also significantly increased. Therefore organizations cannot afford to have incompetent and untrained manpower. This policy has been formulated as a part of this endeavour under the basic guiding principle that every employee has a right to receive regular need based training to enables them in developing their potential. SCOPE
1. This document lay down the training policy for the Employees of Bengal Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Ltd which shall be adopted while formulating the specific strategies and implementation action plan.
2. This policy shall be applicable to all the regular employees of the Company.

Training Budget
Training budgets typically define how money can be allocated for training development and delivery for an organization. Financing training activities requires Analyzing needs Making decisions & Monitoring results.

The objective of TNA
1. Systematically identify developmental needs of employees 2. Integrate employees needs with the organizational needs 3. Training needs of employees shall be classified into following three categoriesa) Technical Training Needs b) Non technical Training Needs c) Behavioral Training Needs

Training Calendar
The Company shall publish its training calendar at the start of each financial year. This calendar shall be prepared by the Training and Development Department and published on Companys website.

Training Provisions
The Company shall impart Technical, Non Technical and Behavioral training to its employees by facilitating them with course materials through the following arrangements:
Internal Training Facility with Internal Faculty Internal Training Facility with External Faculty

External Training Facility with Internal Faculty


External Training Facility with External Faculty

Training / Faculties
The Company shall prepare databases of internal and external faculties and update the same periodically. The internal faculty list shall be prepared in consultation with various Head of the Departments and the faculty This empanelled list of external faculties shall be published on Companys website

Training Feedbacks
At the end of each training feedback will be given. Feedback form shall be given to each participant at the end of every training programme. A short test to be conducted to find the understanding of the training
