Based on what you have shared, what do we really mean by the word courageous?
Courage is a great gift given to everyone. Courage is being able to stand up for what you believe in, even if you are being persecuted or attacked by others for it.
Richie Fernando, a young Jesuit is an example of a person who stood up for what he believed in. He was courageous.

courage to be a Christian today? Why or why not? If you were in his place, what would you have done?
Richie Fernando is a great example of person who has answered the call of Jesus to become His true witnesses. Like him, everyone of us is also called to live as true Christian witnesses.
Our world today gives us great challenges and even opportunities to be able to show that we are true witnesses. But, sometimes we struggle and we fail to do this. This is the reason why we are sent a Guide and Helper who enables us to win over struggles and failures.
Review about the Holy Spirit: Think-Pair-Share. What can you remember about your lessons on the Holy Spirit? How have I experience the Holy Spirit in my life?
How did the Holy Spirit help the apostles? They became courageous, eloquent and zealous in proclaiming the Good News to everyone. The apostles felt the power of the Holy Spirit over them because they were able to speak in different languages and to go out bravely to preach.
During Confirmation, we receive the sign or seal of the Holy Spirit. This sign in not a visible mark. However, this seal marks us as witnesses of Christ.
