INTRODUCTION
The Taluk Agricultural Produce Co-operative Marketing Society Ltd., was established in the year 1949 is located at Mysore, Karnataka with a membership of 889. The products of the society are PDS, Chemical Fertilizers, Pesticides, Insecticides,Agricultural Seeds, Kirloskar Pumpsets.

The marketing sector is of two tier system. At the state level the Karnataka state cooperative marketing federation is functioning at the Apex institution Taluk Agricultural Produce Co-operative Marketing societies at the taluk levels are functioning as primaries. All the taluks in the states are covered by these primary marketing cooperatives.

Objectives:
Providing all the agricultural inputs to the needy farmers. To improve the financial position of the society. Providing godowns or warehouses to members by rent. Providing marketing facilities to their produce.

functions:
Dealing in agricultural essential commodities. Fertilizers Hardware Janata bazar Cement Nandini milk products Animal feed.

Membership types:
A-class: co-operative societies( PACS) B-class: individual members C-class: non- agricultural members D-class: nominal members by the government.

Management of the society Role of president:


Controls the working of the society. Conducts the general body meeting and also special meetings whenever required.

Role of secretary:
Calls for the meeting to all the members of the society and also the other activities. Note down all the proceedings in the meetings. Before conducting the meeting the points/ problems or issues that should be discussed in the meeting is discussed by him with the president. Supervision of the working of the society.
