elterectonic beats wave across the dance floor, as Alternative Dance uses electronic beats.
The left side is dominates the frame because it looks more sophiscated. It makes the drawings on the right seem important. The layout is organised, as the eye catching drawing is played directly under the name of the artist and album name. Suggesting that the drawing is there to empahise the unique nature and style of the artists.
The same concept is visual in Sbtrkts CD cover, as the artist dominates the album cover
Alternative dance is known for the music it produces, though it can be easily produced through electronic equipment. By giving Sbtrkt dominance over the album cover, it allows the viewers to focus on the artist. The mug shot allows Sbtrkts uniqueness to be recognised, as not every artist constantly wears a mask.
By placing only Sbtrkts face on the front cover without his name or album name and then putting his name and song titles at the back. The album cover subconsciously uses these micro elements to say that the artist should come before his music, that we should recognise Sbtrkt as an artist rather than the guy that produces the tracks. The Barcode is played sideways on the back, as if the fact that this CD cover is a product like any other, it is not important. The barcode looks out of place, as the song list and Sbtrktss face look bigger in comparison to the small barcode. This makes the barcode lack significance and places emphasis on the artist.
Pendulum makes its album cover look mysterious through its choice of colour, layout and design.
