Getting Started You need

To play BowlRoll, you will need dog bowls and wrist weights. If you do not have wrist weights, you can exchange them for kitchen sponges. The sponges will need to be wet to give them some weight.

BowlRoll may be played inside or outside.

Set up and Rules to the game

The game is best played on a lawn.

Objective: Get your wrist weights into the bowl. The first player to reach 21 points wins!

Step one: Create a Throw line whereby all participants must throw standing behind the line. Create a Qualifying line 8 feet (steps) from the throw line. This line is where the bowl must roll past to qualify as legitimate throw.
Step two: Each person will take their turn rolling their dog bowl. Rule 1: The bowl must be thrown so that it rolls (along its edge) to be counted as a legitimate throw. The player is given two tries at throwing. If she is unable to roll her bowl she loses her turn.

Rule 2: The bowl must land upright for the play to continue. Note: If the bowl lands upside down the person loses her turn.
Rule 3: The player then must try to get her wrist weight (or wet sponge) into the bowl. She must stand behind the designated line to throw.

Strategy for winning the game

BowlRoll Strategy for winning

It is best to try and roll your bowl so that it lands close to you.
The closer the bowl is the less distance you have to throw the wrist weights. When throwing the bowl lean the bowl towards the wider side upon the release, so that the bowl rolls landing upright.
