Global warming and its impact on business

Global warming
Global warming is the continuing rise in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans. Global warming is caused by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, resulting from human activities such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels.

Causes of Global Warming

Humans are the major cause of global warming. human activities such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels decrease tree Plantation. When humans burn coal, oil and gas (fossil fuels) to generate electricity or drive our cars, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere, where it traps heat. Cutting tree very much without any planning & also less tree plantation. So atmosphere is heating and causes global warming

For cutting tree our world heat continuously so create green house effect, ice are melting & causes flood , etc.

CO2 has caused most of the warming and its influence is expected to continue

Effect of Global Warming

Temperature changes:

The climate system includes observed increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global average sea level The Earthy average surface temperature, expressed as a linear trend rose by 0.74 0.18 C over the period 19062005.

Greenhouse Gases

The major greenhouse gases are water vapor, which causes about 3670 percent of the greenhouse effect; carbon dioxide (CO2), which causes 926 percent; methane(CH4), which causes 49 percent; and ozone (O3), which causes 37 percent.

Greenhouse Effect
The greenhouse effect is the process by which absorption and emission of infrared radiation by gases in the atmosphere warm a planet's lower atmosphere and surface.

Last three decades of the 20th century, gross domestic product per capita and population growth were the main drivers of increases in greenhouse gas emissions.

CO2 emissions are continuing to rise due to the burning of fossil fuels and land-use change. Emissions can be attributed to different regions

Flood
Flood is an overflow of an expanse of water that submerges land. The floods directive defines a flood as a temporary covering by water of land not normally covered by water .

For global warming increase heat in our atmosphere so ice are melting & increase the see level water so, causes flood. It create very much problem in our life, our society , our country& also face big loss in our business.
Crops are destroy, communication line is udemages

Some of the other dangerous chemicals create for global warming :

Ozone- Ozone is produced when other pollution chemicals combine. It is the basic element of smoke VOCs (volatile organic compounds, smog formers)VOCs are let into the air when fuel is burned. This chemical can cause cancer. It can also harm plants. CO (carbon monoxide)- The source of this chemical is burning sources of energy. It causes blood vessel problems and respiratory failures.

Sulfur Dioxide- This chemical is produced by making paper and metals. This chemical can cause permanent lung damage. It can cause acid rain which kills trees and damages building and statues. NOx (nitrogen dioxide)- This chemical forms smog. It is also formed by burning sources of energy, like gas, coal, and oil, and by cars. This chemical causes problems in the respiratory system (including the lungs). It causes acid rain, and it can damage trees. This chemical can eat away buildings and statues.

Global Warming Effect on Business

Negative Effect:
Effect on Water Industry: Reduced snow cover and glaciers will provide less water to the regions that depend on them. These changes will negatively affect the water industry Natural Resources: This will have negative effects for agriculture and associated food production and distribution industries

Effect on Tourism: The tourism and recreation sectors are likely to experience a serious negative impact from climate change, as they are dependent on particular locations and natural resources .
Effect on Insurance Industry: An increase in the frequency and severity of extreme weather events and flooding could adversely affect the insurance sector by increasing the number of large payouts they have to make.

Effect on Construction Industry: Construction companies will need to take more care when selecting sites and incorporate precautions against extreme weather and flooding into their plans

Positive Effect
The Effect On Insurance Businesses:
Insurance companies are the second largest industry in the world in terms of assets. Their job is to secure our economy, and as a result, you depend on them to secure your business, your home, your family your life. For global warming people will interested For insured their security so, increase insurance.
