SPLITS AND CHEATS

Offensive Line/TE = 2 Foot PSTE may over split vs. 9 technique Backside may cheat their splits depending on the front RBs toes are at 7 yards. When we run inside the Tackles we want to widen our splits. When we run outside the Tackles we want to reduce our splits.

QUARTERBACK
Open play side to either 5 or 7 oclock Get the ball as deep as possible to the TB After handoff run full speed bootleg action away Your full speed bootleg will slow down chasers and setup our Keep/Naked/Boot

WIDE RECIEVERS
To: Vs. 2 high safety look you must push and smack the safety on the near hash. To: Vs. 2 high safety that rolls strong or weak you must push and stalk the CB lined up over you. To: Vs. 1 high safety look you must run a vertical and stalk the CB lined up over you. If you are in a slot position then you must block the man the man over you. If you are backside then you must fill the lane to the nearest safety.

RBS STEPS
1ST step is flat and lateral with the play side foot 2nd step must slightly crossover and gain ground 3rd step squares you up to start up field Make it a fluid motion. We dont want robots.

RBs AIMING POINT

Take a pre-snap look to locate the bubble Aiming point for the RB depends on where the bubble is located (bubble = gap not defended by a down lineman) If the bubble is located over the Guard (B-gap) aim for the inside hip of the Tackle If the bubble is located over the Center (A-Gap) or Tackle aim for outside hip of the Guard RB must press the B-gap in order to bring PSLB into mate block and seal BSLB away from cutback.

READ
The read is the helmet of the first defensive lineman head up on the center to play side. If his helmet goes inside cram the ball up field just outside of him If his helmet goes outside you cut up field just inside of him If there is ever daylight in the B-gap cram it!
