The default responsibility associated with a user who is browsing anonymously Allows user to browse public catalogs and add products to shopping cart

Used by application logic for decision-making in place of a responsibility Predefined user types:

Where a user has more than one responsibility, user type should be set for the highest level of view access needed

Creating eSales Users

New users can be added to the system in several ways


Call Center administrators can create new users Call Center administrators can create delegated administrators, who can then create corporate users in eSales in a business-tobusiness (B2B) model Individuals can self-register in a business-to-consumer (B2C) model

Navigate to Administration User > Users and create a new record

2. Assign Responsibilities

To set responsibilities:
In the user record, click the Select button Select one or more responsibilities

One responsibility is designated as primary

3. Set the User Type

Select predefined user type from the drop-down list

4. Set Purchase Order Capability (B2B)

To enable the user to make purchases using a purchase order, set the PO Approved flag
The account must also be enabled for purchase orders

This user can make PO purchases

5. Associate the User to an Account (B2B)

Two options for linking the user to an account:


Set account property in user record Add user in the accounts Contacts tab

6. Assign User to Access Groups

Assign a user to access groups to give him or her access to private catalogs and categories Users cannot be assigned to access groups directly

Navigate to Administration Group > User Lists Create a new user list or select an existing one Add users in the child list applet

Navigate to Administration - Group > Access Groups Select the access group to be modified In the child list applet, add your user list
