Importance of Body language


We often smile and hold eye contact of the other person as we shake hand in the mean while we give off thousands of other unconscious signals through our body language that other people will read instantly and instinctively. By adjusting the way we stand, move, dress and interact we can make encounters with other human beings (and probably most animals too!) much easier and smoother.

Walking in with a long strides and straight posture reflects a person with long term goals, and one who is willing to take risks.

Make eye contact to connect with the audience. This will give everyone in the room the feeling that you are talking directly to them, and will increase their attention

When people ask questions.

To make sure that audience feel powered even if they have asked the most obvious question.

JOKER STANCE
To make sure that your audience laugh at right points.

THE PLACATOR
Make sure that audience agree with you.

ENTERING
The interview starts the moment one steps into the room. Walk in tall with a smile on your face.

If interviewer offers a hand make the handshake strong and firm, pumping hands thrice, then releasing.

BEGINNING THE INTERVIEW


Straight open hands forming one line with arm, shows honesty and openness. Do not fidget You should place your hands in your lap or in front of you. Keep open body posture and appropriate eye contact.

DURING THE INTERVIEW


Folding your arms in front of you communicates a defensive stance. Try to avoid locking your ankles even if they are hidden from the interviewer. Its a blocking and negative gesture and affects your state of mind.

AT THE END OF THE INTERVIEW

Shake hands while you thank the interviewer for the opportunity and walk away with your shoulders back and head high.
Leave with a good impression.
