Introduction

Today we are born and live in a highly saturated Electrical Environment.

Today, there are 250 million times more artificially generated frequencies in the earths atmosphere than there were in 1930.

Electric fields are created by differences in voltage: the higher the voltage, the stronger will be the resultant field. Magnetic fields are created when electric current flows: the greater the current, the stronger the magnetic field.

Electromagnetic fields are present everywhere in our environment but are invisible to the human eye. Electric fields are produced by the local buildup of electric charges in the atmosphere associated with thunderstorms. The earth's magnetic field causes a compass needle to orient in a North-South direction and is used by birds and fish for navigation.

What EMF Level Is Safe?


Few governments that have made an effort to offer public protection, have adopted the 3 miliGaus cutoff point. The EPA of USA has proposed a safety standard of 1 mG. Sweden has set a maximum safety limit of 1 mG. Continuous exposure to EMFs above 1 mG is probably hazardous and below 0.3 mG is probably safe.

One study (Ahlbom & Feychting, 1993) reported that at 2 mG and above, exposed children were 2.7 times as likely to develop cancer as unexposed children, and at 3 mG and above, the odds rose to 3.8 times as likely!

New research published in July 2008 in the journal Epidemiology showed that children whose mothers used cell phones frequently during pregnancy and who are themselves cell phone users are more likely to have behavior problems. The author of the study and her team looked at a group of 13,159 children whose mothers had been recruited to participate in the Danish National Birth Cohort study early in their pregnancies. When the children reached age 7, mothers were asked to complete a questionnaire about their childrens behavior and health, as well as the mothers own cell phone use in pregnancy and the childs use of cell phones.

from EMF?

General rules to observe


Reduce your exposure to electromagnetic radiation by increasing your distance. If you cant avoid the EMF exposure, try to keep it short. If it doesn't need to be turned on, switch it off Try not to sit within 1.5 meters of any major item of electrical equipment, for example, heaters and air conditioners, printers. Keep a similar distance from neon lights or major electrical wiring junction boxes.

Precautionary Measures and health advisories


Use hands-free to decrease the radiation to the head. Keep the mobile phone away from the body. Do not use telephone in a car without an external antenna.

How much to increase your distance depends on the type of EMF hazard.
For example, to halve the field intensity, you might have to move further away by a distance of : 25 meters for power lines and cell towers

Children under 8

In England, the National Radiological Protection Board suggested in 2005 that children younger than eight should not be given a cell phone, as it risks exposing their developing brains and bodies to harmful radiation. Recently, Torontos department of public health issued a similar warning, that due to possible side effects from radio frequency radiation, children under

eight should only use a cell phone in emergencies, and teenagers should limit calls to less than 10 minutes.

House plants
Keep a lot of house plants around and try to position them next to technologies that you use often. Plants help clean the air of harmful frequencies. If you have wireless internet, consider switching back to a wired router.

Keep your bedroom as EMF safe as possible for optimal health


Move all unnecessary technologies out of your bedroom at night and replace your electric alarm clock with an old fashioned wind-up. The technologies that you can't move out of your bedroom, make sure to position a good 5 to 6 feet away from your bed at night.

Detect EMFs in your home and work environment.


Get a Gauss Meter, share it with your friends, and test the areas where you spend time. Make sure you are not exposed to an EMF greater than 2.5 mG for extended periods.

Think about what this means in schools and offices with rows of terminals. Suggest computer shielding to your employer and school board.
