1.Feeding and chambering:- First, the upper locking lug of the bolt hooks
the extraction rim of a cartridge, strips it from the ammunition belt, and
places it in the feed plate groove. The bolt then pushes the cartridge
down the chambering ramp into the barrel socket and firing chamber.
2.Locking and firing:- The bolt continues to move forward into the barrel
socket and rotates to the locked position. The operating rod, still moving
forward, activates a final linkage that causes the yoke to press against
the firing pin. The firing pin strikes and ignites the cartridge primer,
which, in turn, explodes the main charge. The expanding gases from the
force of the explosion push the bullet through the bore, or barrel, with
great force.
3.Unlocking :- The bolt is unlocked from the barrel socket as gases from
the exploding cartridge enter the hollow gas cylinder through the gas
port. The gas pressure drives the piston, operating rod, and bolt to the
rear.
4.Extraction and ejection:- As the bolt moves back, it revolves, loosening
the cartridge case from the chamber. The extractor hooks the rim of the
empty cartridge case and pulls the case from the chamber. The ejector
spring expands and pushes the side of the empty cartridge case, sending
it spinning through the ejection port. The firing-pin spring inside the bolt
is compressed, and the gun is again cocked. The cycle of functioning
repeats until the trigger on the machine gun is released.

Features :
Breech block - No modifications on 130mm guns. Hence no
requirement for troop training. Immediate deployment after
upgunning.
Obturation - Failure of self sealing systems during combat
overcome by use of stub cartridge case obturator based on the
obturating system of the original 130mm gun.
Conversion Lead time - Minimal, since no modification of the
breech block. No change in travel lock, cradle and recoil system of
the 130mm gun.
Ammunition - All NATO standard 155mm shells and all NATO
standard charge systems.
