individuals who are intellectually , spiritually, emotionally and physically balanced and harmonic, based on a firm belief in and devotion to God. Such an effort designed to produce Malaysian citizens who are knowledgeable and competent , who possess high moral standards and who are responsible and capable of achieving a high level of personal well-being as well as being able to contribute to the harmony and betterment of the family, the society and the nation at large

Education is a lifelong process and man is constantly in need to expand, explore and verify existing knowledge. Experience does not only enrich and strengthen knowledge but also re-examine and increase the capacity of existing knowledge possessed by individuals.

ELEMENTS IN NATIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

EDUCATION IS AN ON-GOING EFFORT

Education is a process of acquiring and transferring of knowledge,

skills and noble values.

Early education is important to shape the personality of young children from the age of 1 to 6 years.

The personality formed will go on developing throughout the


schooling years. Upon completion of schooling, the individual continues to enhance his knowledge, skills and character Continuous education will assist the individual to adapt to various types of changes.

DEVELOP THE POTENTIAL OF INDIVIDUALS

Every individual has been blessed by God with hidden talents, potentials and abilities. Talents, potentials and abilities should be tapped, nurtured, and enhanced through social interaction with others and the environment. Education should offer the individual opportunities to develop his talents, potentials and abilities.

HOLISTIC AND INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT OF THE INDIVIDUAL

Enhancement and development should preferably encompass four aspects namely intellectual, spiritual ,emotional and physical. Talents, potentials and abilities do not develop separately ; they are inter-related and coordinated so as not to compete with one another

of knowledge (intellectual), good personality (emotional), belief in God and good character (spiritual) and good health (physical) ; Balance of these four aspects will produce an individual who can live in harmony with himself and others ; Resilience to face all of lifes challenges and problems.

the three basic skills (3R) : reading, writing and arithmetic ; Always strives to acquire and develop true knowledge ; Possess creative, critical and reflective thinking skills; Willing to share knowledge with others and the environment.

SPIRITUAL ELEMENT

aware of and believe in God; Thankful for Gods gifts; Possesses good character and upholds moral values.

EMOTIONAL ELEMENT
Matured

and stable emotions; Possess and nurtures love; A feeling of togetherness (espirit de corps) and unity.

National Philosophy of Education (FPK

National Philosophy of Education (FPK) combines the goals, policies and educational practices to form a consistent, clear and logical entity. FPK consists of several elements to produce individuals who are intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and physically balanced and harmonic.

High Moral Standards


Noble character meant here that people that have high moral values that also possess the qualities such as discipline integrated the noble practice in their life.

Responsible Citizens
Responsible towards God, race and nation in performing their duties with honesty and dedicatedly is what hoped by the government in producing their citizen.
