Under the direction of designer Tom Fazio, the Augusta National Club added yardage to half the holes prior to the 2002 event. In subsequent years, trees were added alongside the fairways at the 11th and 15th holes, as well as other holes. Tees were moved back. Rough grown higher. Fairways narrowed. More yardage was added before the 2006 tournament, and today the course measures 7,435 yards -- or some 500 yards longer than 10 years ago. Some say that these measures were taken to make the course harder for the players, making it a contest of endurance. The steps taken by the golf courses were termed "______-_______" FITB

A woman sits, with her fellow workers, in a brightly lit room at the back of an ugly building whose designer was surely a box- maker not an architect. This is factoryland and the building is located right beside the main road south out of ___________- the Princes Highway- where noisy, creaking trucks proliferate and jet planes of all shapes and sizes roar overhead. Fourteen years have passed since the woman, Myun Sim Park, left her homeland of South Korea to make a new life for herself in __________. For 11 of those years she has been a valued employee of the very important Albion company. Myun is sewing, sitting before a Brother machine around the saddle of which she has tied a soft, black cloth which is her pincushion; scissors are by her right hand. X calls herself "She Bee Stingin. Y's ring name is "Sister Smoke." The match between X and Y, like their nicknames, was a parody of the battles waged by their illustrious fathers.. Both women entered the fight with undefeated records, which they amassed by beating up on opponents who had as much ability to fight back as a punching bag. It was the banter between them before the starting bell, not the fisticuffs that followed, that was the fight's main attraction. In the days leading up to the contest, X taunted Y in much the same way that her father used to harangue her opponent's dad. It was these verbal battles that put the bout between the two women on the radarscope of boxing fans and the media.

Strangely enough, this match was billed ___________________ X, Y and the blank

In his autobiography, X writes that "when he was growing up the only thing he cared about was beating my (older) brothers, both of whom were bigger, stronger and better at sports than he was. He wanted to beat them more than anyone but I hadnt met Y yet. Once I did, he was the one I had to beat. What I had with Y went beyond my brothers. I never let on how much he dominated my thoughts during my playing days. I couldnt."

When X won the Rookie of the Year, Y was "so upset, so angry, and so jealous that everybody thought X was that much better than him that he told everybody who would listen, You want to see who the best rookie is, you watch me tonight." which he did to win the NBA Championship.

When this happened, X went home and said, You know what? Ive got to win something" as he felt that he was behind 2-1 on his mental scoreboard with Y.

X and Y would later become the best of friends after their retirement.

"Competing against more powerful Mercedes and Auto Union teams in front of a predictably nationalistic crowd of 300,000, X started the race on the front row. But following a botched pit stop and a conked fuel pump, he was down to 6th place, in his hopelessly outdated Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeo.

The red mist came down and he soon did the first ever lap in the _______ under eleven minutes. It was a drive bordering on the maniacal. He soon caught the race leader Manfred Von Brauchitsch, whose rear tires were shredding on his last lap"

The story of the 1943 semifinals of the Generalsimos Cup more directly relates to the game of football. __________ were seemingly in control after the first leg, which they had comfortably won 3-0 at home. However, upon visiting the capital they were surprised at a visit from the director of state security. Supposedly, he reminded the players of the States fortunate generosity at letting them remain in the country. The players took the hint, and lost 11-1. Though much of general's support remains shrouded in some mystery, there is no doubt that such support existed. The general had no real passion for the game itself, only a fixation on refocusing the States image on Castile through its most historic team. The escalating tensions soon boiled over with both the teams embroiled in a bitter battle over a genius from Millonarious, a club in Colombia. This refers to the beginnings of a something famous. As a bowler, X had an awkward chest on action, seeming to bowl off the wrong foot at the end of an intimidating run. His unusual action generated late inswing which, in the right conditions, could be unplayable at times. He bowled at high pace in his pomp but later in his career knee problems caused by the impact of his bull like body on the bowling crease forced him to turn to off-spin. Typically he proved adept at this too. His muscular batting in the middle order was famed for its power, although based on a sound defence. He was one of those rare cricketers who could have found a place in any test team as either a batsman or bowler and who could win a game single handed with bat or ball in his hand.He played county cricket for 13 years as an overseas player for Gloucestershire and led them to great success. Fans even jokingly renamed the team _______shire. He is said to have courted controversy many times during his stint as match referee. X?

Manley, in his 1995 revised masterpiece, A History of West Indies Cricket, wrote: "Tremendous pressure was now placed on A to turn back from a course that could only bring disgrace and disaster upon his head. The cricket authorities and governments were united in their abhorrence of apartheid and their determination to use every possible weapon to fight it. There was not a chance that they would overlook the action planned by A and his 'rebel' team. Nor were they likely to respond with a tap on the wrist. At this juncture, the same intermediary made several attempts to meet with A in the hope of dissuading the island's finest bat since Headley. A would not agree. His mind was set, and, in due course, in February 1983, the team flew to South Africa."

He was nibbling his nails the first time I saw him just as they said he would be. Not absently-mindedly but seemingly with aggression, palm turned upwards, free hand inspecting frequently. He wore black sunglasses, square of frame Rayban Wayfarers fawn slacks and no shirt. His shoulders were as broad as a boxers, yet he was short, even by my schoolboy standards.

And he walked with that amazing twinkle-toe lilt, springing upwards, like a Scots sword-dancer, with every step. Jackie Stewart did likewise, we noticed although his feet were splayed outwards. (Was this their secret, we wondered? Were these gaits the key to all that brilliance?)
X was lilting now towards the _________ camp to the tent which shaded his 32B-Climax. The air was surprisingly still, the tempo unhurried. There was no Y in Australia just X and the boys, led by Ray Parsons, the _________ Cortina/Elan/F3 driver.

It was in July 1993 that Raymond Bool, a development officer for the Border Cricket Board in South Africa's eastern Cape, came upon a barefoot 15-yearold in Mdingi, a rural hamlet with a population of 500. Intrigued, Bool lent the youngster a pair of takkies (plimsolls) and arranged for him to travel to King William's Town, some 10 miles away, for a net. Even more impressed, Bool contacted Greg Hayes, the man in charge of Border's development programme, and they decided to try him out in a junior cricket festival in Queenstown. "At lunch on that first day in Queenstown," says Hayes, "_______ came clattering into the dining hall for lunch. He still had his boots on. I had to tell him to take them off. And at the end of the week, when we sent him home, I made him promise not to wear them elsewhere. They were only to be worn, I said, when he was playing cricket."

As with many other sportsmen of his generation X lost some of his best years to the Second World War, during which he served in the army in India. He was granted permission to play for the Holkar team in the Ranji Trophy, India's national cricket tournament. It was in India that he began his close friendship with his Australian counterpart as Test cricketer, footballer and national hero, Y. They played against each other in the match at Calcutta between the Australian Services team and East Zone. The match was interrupted by rioting when X was on 94 and one of the rioters who had invaded the pitch ran up to X and said "Mr X, you very good player, but the match must stop now", which Y gleefully repeated whenever X came to the crease subsequently. The first Cuban Grand Prix was held in 1957 and by all accounts it had been a great success. X won the race in front of streets lined with enthusiastic and curious spectators. On the eve of the grand prix in 1958, X walked into the lobby on his way to dinner only to be confronted by a young man in a leather jacket brandishing a pistol. According to reports from the time the slightly nervous assailant barked: "you must come with me. I am a member of the 26th of July revolutionary movement." One of X's friends picked up a paperweight and moved to throw it at the intruder, but the pistol jerked round. "Stay still," its owner said. "If you move, I shoot." And with that, X accompanied the young man to a waiting car. The motive was simple, the rebels were showing up the government and attracting worldwide publicity to their cause.

At the same time Y was leading a fund, also called MSI, based in London, which said it had "a number of investors mainly based in Britain and Russia" and which financed Corinthians themselves.

Court and internal company documents assert that the owner and financial backer of MSI, which owned the rights to X, was the Georgian billionaire oligarch Arkadi "Badri" Patarkatsishvili.
