. Human body is composed of numerous cells ranging from 50 to 75 trillions and about 210 cell types Cells are oriented into groups to form specialized tissues and finally organs. Many cell types in human like: Glandular cells-salivary gland cell Alimentary canal or digestive system cellspaneth cells Goblet cells Endocrine cells-ovarian endocrine cells Exocrine cells-acinar cell of pancrease

A cell that is highly specialized for the assembly and packaging of proteins for export. These cells take up amino acids from the blood and assemble them into enzymes. The enzymes manufactured are Amylase, Trypsin and Lipase.

Paneth cells are large cells, situated within the recesses of the Intestinal Glands, that possess prominent glycoprotein-containing secretory granules. The precise function of these cells are not known. The large secretory granules found in the apical cytoplasm of paneth cell contain the antibacterial enzyme lysozyme. Contribute to the regulation of intestinal flora.

The break down of large particles into smaller ones is facilitated in the oral cavity by the secretions from many different salivary glands. The secretions involve saliva. Salivary secretions are divided into two major categories : serous and mucous. Serous secretions are watery , non viscous and proteinaceous. Mucous secretions are mucoid, viscous, and rich in polysaccharides and mucoproteins.

An endocrine cell from the ovary synthesizes and secrets steroid hormones which are constructed from cholesterol. The cell, shaped like a long , slender football, is found in the theca interna of a growing follicle in the ovary, where it secrets a steroid hormone that is a precursor of the female sex hormone, estrogen.

Goblet cells are glandular simple columnar epithelial cells whose sole function is to secrete mucin, which dissolves in water to form mucus. The epithelium lining of the intestine and lungs contain many goblet cells. The primary function is to secrete mucus , a slippery , viscous substance, rich in mucopolysaccharides , that protects and lubricates the lining of the intestine. They usually have a broad apex and a narrow base.
