DIATOM ALGAE-NATURE IS HELPING US

There is a huge variety of algae. But among these, the siliceous algae (diatom) is the most productive and one of the richest food sources for the fauna of our oceans. Equally important is the fact of diatoms great contribution for the reduction of atmospheric CO. Studies have shown that diatoms do absorb almost a quarter of all the worlds CO that otherwise would pollute our environment. Even when dying they will sink to the bottom of the ocean taking all stored corbon dioxide away with them.

Diatoms grow very, very quickly. Their numbers double within a few hours. Diatoms produce more oxygen than other types of algae, this is very important, for a lot of oxygen is required to treat polluted water

We are using diatoms to clean waste water or even any other polluted waters. For this purpose we are using a special fertilizer to enhance the growth of diatoms. Diatoms will not only use up the fertilizer, but as well all other nutrients, including those which have polluted the waters, used most or all of the oxygen and accelerated the growth of harmful algae species , such as the cyanobakteria.

Eutrophication seldom is a natural process.

Excessive pollution caused by nutrients (mostly phosphate and nitrate entry) accounts for a biodiversity offset. In most cases this is the reasons for heavy algae bloom. But a sudden, explosive reproduction of diatoms raises the oxygen level again. Diatoms are using up nutrients, thus withdrawing them from the algae. A further eutrophication is stopped by this process. The natural regeneration process will start now.

DIATOMS ..

First part in the marine food chain!

The Food chain closes .

this newly generated biodiversity of phytoplankton inevitably is followed by the zooplankton, which again is the most important food source of all kind of fish.

All kind of waters which are suffering from overfertilization, lack of oxygen, algae bloom or other pollutants can such be treated. Even coastal waters ..

Bayous and fjords ..

Waters in aggriculture sorroundings ...

Waters of industrial pollution ..

Lakes of all kind

Dirty rivers .

Waste water ponds ..

Waters with population of fish

To stimulate the growth of diatoms we would need certain messengers which got lost in eutrophied waters, or do only exist in very small amounts. We would deliver these balanced messengers in form of Nanofertilizers. Such a carefully adjusted suspension of trace elements we apply to the critical waters. 1 kilo of this fertilizer on 4000 cubic metre of water is sufficient enough to start a biological reaction. Depending on the degree of a pollution it can happen that bubbles will appear immediately, - those are triggered by high production of oxygen. After 20 till 40 hours a sufficient stock of diatoms can already be noticed. Than, from the first till the second week, a clear regression of the disturbing algae biomasses can be observed. With the same this process also starts a strong reproduction of zooplankton, since diatoms are the favourite food source of all kinds of animal plankton like crustaceans, copepods, molluscs and krill.

This treatment will be continued until it again establishes the natural balance of the water. Along with the improvement of water quality the amount of Nano-fertilizer can be reduced. If no more pollutants are added to the waters, we can call conditions stabilized and the natural balance returned. Fish population is not effected by such a treatment, - quite the opposite. In such advanced environment they thrive and prosper even better. Young fry have natural feed in abundance since all kinds of zooplankton increased strongly. Additional feeding is in most cases not necessary anymore. Especially operators of aquacultures will recognize better health and fewer shortfalls in their hatcheries, since their fishes or even shrimps, will eat only speciesappropriate feed. The use of anti bio tics and other chemical additives is not necessary anymore. The diatom Nano-fertilizer creates a healthy water-live environment and all we did was

- to help nature a little bit to help us.
