A PROPOSAL ON DROWSINESS DETECION

MECHANISM USING FACIAL FEATURES

GUIDANCE: TEAM MEMBERS: 1. Name <reg No>

AIM

To prevent accidents due to driver fatigue. To provide an nonintrusive method preferable by the driver. To combine the technologies of eye features extraction and use of bio-sensors.

OBJECTIVE:

To design a driver drowsiness detection and controlling

schema of a automobile using image processing based eye

state detection method with bio sensor interface

EXISTING SYSTEM:
Manual identification of Human - In this Method the other human sitting next to driver determine the drowsiness of the driver and make him awake.

- This Method is inefficient & dangerous.

Eye blink sensors method (Contact based method) - This Method uses a eye blink sensor where the driver will wear while driving. - The drive need to wear every time, which might leads to irritation Flux belt sensors method (Contact based method) - This method uses flux sensor integrated o n seat belt of the driver. - Its costly , detection is not accurate

PROPOSED SYSTEM:

contact less camera based drowsiness monitoring system which monitors the eye state of the driver automatically, With improved efficiency increases by interfacing biomedical sensor
ADVANTAGE OF PROPOSED SYSTEM:
No need driver to wear any sensor , since the system is a contact less.
Detection efficiency is high, since drowsiness detected directly through eyes. Low cost
5

Easy assembled in any automobile , no need any modification
