COURSE OBJECTIVES
To provide conceptual knowledge in order to equip the students with the required background for acquiring their degree in Television and Film Art. First, we will trace the development of television studies from a humanistic perspective as well as a technological advancement. Second, we will look at recent work in television studies as a means of assessing both the changing nature of television and of television Industry in Pakistan and Internationally.

Term Paper 25 Marks


One final term paper will be assigned to every student and they will do it individually. Students will write a complete 14-25 page research paper on any of the topic discussed in class with some case studies from both local and international industry.

Presentations 12 Marks
There will be two presentations, one will be before the midterm, students will present one of the assignment. In the last weeks after mid term they will present their final term paper.

Class Participation 7 Marks


Class participation will be assessed in terms of interaction of student with teacher, fellow students, quizzes and queries during lecture.

Exam 50 Marks
Mid Term: 20 Final Term: 30
