Bowing down, Raising up &
Prostration
ٰ‫[ سُ ْبحَانَ رَ بّيَ الَْعْلَى‬In Sujood–
Prostration]
 ٰ ‫علَى‬ َ
ْ ‫اْل‬ ‫ي‬
َ ِّ ‫َر ب‬ ‫ن‬
َ ‫حا‬
َ ْ ‫سب‬

Rabbi-yal 'a`-laa sub…aana
the Exalted. my Lord, Glory be to

– Here again, we are talking of 3 things:

– O Allaah, to You belongs true Glory.
– O Allaah, You are above all creation,
the Most High.
– When we do sujood, we become the
lowest and then say O Allah! You are
the highest.
– In this position, we become closest to
– It shows our humbleness as well as our
true position in front of Allah.
– It is a symbol of surrender.
– It also shows that we want to do
everything that Allah says.
– O Allaah, I praise You and love You. O
Allaah, I prostrate in Your worship.
– Remember we should NOT do Sajdah to
any one in the world. We should do that
ONLY for Allah.
‫سُ ْبحَا َنكَ اللّهمّ رَبّنَا وَ ِبحَمْ ِدكَ اَللّهمّ اغْفِرْلِي‬

closest to Allah; so we ask Him to
forgive us.
