COURSE DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this course is to equip students with understanding, appreciation, and application of calculus as well as introduction to solve variety of engineering problems using calculus. This course will also provide students with mathematical knowledge needed to support their concurrent and subsequent engineering studies

COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of this course, student should be able to demonstrate 1. An ability to understand the concepts from introductory calculus 2. An ability to apply concept of calculus to numerous applications in engineering.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES
In line with the school of Engineering and Information Technology outcomes, by the end of the course, the student will demonstrate: 1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering (PO1) 2. An ability to critically analyse problems for possible engineering solutions (PO2) 3. An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems (PO6)
