THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (HHS)

The Department of Health and Human services (HHS) is the United States government's
principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves. The department includes more than 300 programs, covering various spectrum activities, to reach out to needy families, elderly, children and much more.

IDENTITY AND ROLE OF AGENCY

Health Services Research (HSR)studies the relationship between health outcomes that are experienced by patients and medical services given . Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by protecting the public health ensures that drugs, biomedicine, and medical devices are effective. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) health care for beneficiaries with goals of improving beneficiary and protecting health. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) promotes health and quality of life by controlling disease, prevention, disability, and injury. Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA) to expand and making improvements access to quality care for all Americans.

CONCLUSION

The U.S. Department of Health and Human service is known for protecting the well-being (health) of all Americans and providing necessary human services, especially for those in low income group and who are unable to assist themselves financially. The HHS have provided many programs to help people with their health such as Medicaid and Medicare programs. Other programs are followed in assisting with food, housing, financial assistance and education.
