INTASC Standard #9 Professional Learning and Ethical Practice


The teacher engages in ongoing professional learning and uses evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (learners, families, other professionals, and the community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner. Brief Description: For this assignment, I presented reasons as to why I wish to become a teacher, I listed effective traits I possess and characteristics that I would enjoy seeing in my students. I also explained how I plan to contribute to teaching and state my personal philosophy. In this lesson, all of the information I have obtain helped me come up with my own personal teaching philosophy. Given this standard, I presented information such as how to appropriately help my students and connect with others in the school; in order to state my philosophy. Rationale: To document Standard #9, professional learning and ethical practice, I included specific details that helped me describe and come up with my own personal teaching philosophy. This assignment allowed me to collect my thoughts about teaching and realize ideas that contributed to my philosophy. My personal believes and feelings about teaching were clearly expressed in this presentation.
