Rationale
The school will make every effort to instruct and guide all students into achieving its institutional objectives. To enable the school to attain its goals, it will adopt and enforce certain policies on school discipline.

The students are expected to follow a set of rules and regulations that are stated in the student handbook. In case of violations of said rules, we will implement Disciplinary Action/s

The school administration and teachers shall exercise their authority in loco parentis.

Being the students second parents in school, they have the right to impose appropriate and reasonable disciplinary measures.

However, no cruel or physically harmful punishment (corporal punishment) shall be imposed or applied to any student.

The punishment shall be commensurate with the nature and gravity of the offense. Disciplinary measure will be exercised with love, understanding and acceptance by the student.
Teacher will refer the case to the Guidance Counselor for counselling
1. Warning
A student who commits an offense for the first time is made to realize the degree of the offense and its consequences.
2. Make-up classes
A student may be asked to remain in school after class for some minor offense, during which he will be required to do some make-up or extra school work.
3. Suspension. A student may be suspended from school for frequently committing a major offense. He shall not be allowed to make up for any requirement he missed during the time when he was suspended.
4. Deprivation.
A student may be deprived of privileges such as joining athletic competition or other school activities.
5. Probation A student who has committed several major offenses shall be put under probation for the succeeding school year.

As the Prefect of Discipline, I am expecting full cooperation from the students, parents, and my colleagues here in SBIS. In return, I am promising to be firm in implementing rules yet fair in imposing sanctions.
Bottom-line of my task
Ensure that the schools rules and regulations are 100% complied to. Make sure that the students welfare are well taken care of during my dealing/s with them.
