SS cleaning
Initially apply Bondite Liquid and remove the yellow marks/stains by using SS wire brush After that Okite Liquid to be apply for protection Next Bondite Liquid to be apply once again, froth & Foam develops followed by scrubbing the stains using wire brush and wait for 1520minutes. Finally wash the Stainless steel plate by Okite Liquid

Patch plate fitup with vessel

Bottom

dish end with outer skirt fitup and welding can be done before patch plate assemble with inner vessel. Jacket dish end Assy fitup with inner vessel.

Patch

plate fitup with jacket bottom dish end and the center line of the patch plate should be match with the bottom dish end center line i.e. 180 deg. Temporary attachment can be done between patch plate with jacket bottom dish end (in the form of cantilever ).

Temporary support

Both are should be in same axis

Pipe support with inner vessel

Individual Pipe connection

Pipe connection to be made with help of adaptor as shown in fig (socket type joint) If we want butt joint, we have to take 100% RT We should maintain 1.5mm 3mm gab between pipe and adaptor for thermal expansion Pipe with adaptor and ferrules Mock up to done before fit up& welding Assemble the pipe from both side of top dish end as well as patch plate. adjust the length of pipe and marking/cutting to required size in shell length wise and also marking/cutting the excess length of pipe from top dish end side.

After

complete the mock up clean the inside of both ferrules and pipe by DCEdry chloride ethylene. Welding sequence of the pipe in fig Gap between Pipelines and Inner vessel should be 1 to 1.1/2

CLAMP FOR PIPE

Hydro test

Vessel should be in Horizontal Position Inlet on flange connection pipe Slightly inclined the vessels during hydrotest For water Drain, all ferrrules should be in open condition Pressure gauge on N' at 180 degree and Drain on N at 0 Mild steel ferrule for Dummy the threaded ferrules

If Non-ferrous material is available, it is best.

Proper insulation to be provide between MS and SS Air block to be remove from all pipes

Hydro test
During hydrotest, vessel upclined During Drain, vessel Declined

N&N closing
During hydro test, plug N & N' by tapping Taffelon tape After hydrotest, remove taffelon tape and weld.

Pneumatic test
Pnuematic test to be done before N & N' welding Two Pressure Gauges

Evacuation Filter Assembly

If we making continuous length pipe, we have to cut the Dummy end because of getting continuous hollow from end to end.

Vaccum Probe connection

Vacuum probe pipe to be inserted in the Jacket Dish nearby half of its length.
