Welcome to Department of Electronics & Communication Engg.

What is Electronics?
Every facet of life today is impacted by electronics in one way or other. Either it is computers (Hardware) or communication (Multimedia) or a control, electronics is the link. The exciting world of electronics needs very mathematical background and also an analytical mind. good

Mobile telephony has shrunk the world. Hazardous situations can be handled safely with electronics with robots for disposing bombs, handling the wastes and precision operations.

The opportunities in electronic field are countless!

Jobs in Government Sector NTPC,HAL,BHEL,AAI,BSNL,MTNL,IES,IND IAN RAILWAYS,BEL, DMRC,DRDO,ISRO and many more.... Jobs in Private Sector Siemens, Texas Instruments, Intel, nVIDIA, Philips Electronics, Motorola, Samsung, Conexant and Flextronics, Telecom Industry and many more...

Major Subjects
Digital Electronics Digital Signal processing, TV & Radar , Optical Communication, VHDL and VLSI, Analog & Digital communication, Embedded system, Microprocessors and micro controllers and Microwaves are studied as part of the course.

About the Department

The Aim of the Department is to produce Electronics & Communication Engineers, who combine academic excellence with practical expertise. To achieve this aim, well equipped laboratories, central and departmental libraries support students, throughout their course of study. The academic courses cover fundamental and vital areas of importance in electronics relevant to both Industry and Research. Final year students carry out research and industry-oriented projects in the 8th Semester. To give junior students a flavour such activity, they are also encouraged to seek out and pursue projects with reputable Research and Industrial Organizations. This opportunity has been eagerly seized by several students of the 6th Semester.
