Top

shaft assembly consists of Top shaft with top bearing & gland sleeve and shaft enclosing tube.

Before

putting shaft in enclosing tube install shaft locking fixture on the pump support.
install shaft lock on the shaft

Intermediate

shaft assembly consists of intermediate shaft with sleeve and shaft enclosing tube.

Before

putting shaft in enclosing tube install shaft locking fixture on the pump support.
install shaft lock on the shaft

Use following torque values for the pump assembly.

Bottom Shaft Assembly

This

is very critical assembly in the pump assembly. assembly consists of bowl bearing, casing wear ring, impeller, shaft with sleeve, impeller, lock nut/cap nut, cone.

Bottom Shaft Assembly

Take necessary precautions while installing bowl bearing and casing wear ring with bowl. Use RFC Compound on the mating faces of the assembly. Carry out the proper tightening and ensure locking of the fasteners.

Bottom Shaft Assembly

Assemble/install bowl bearing, casing wear ring. Put bottom shaft inside the bowl and provide necessary support to the shaft so that enclosing tube can be assembled with the bowl

Assemble shaft enclosing tube with the bowl flange and use torque wrench for tightening.

Bottom Shaft Assembly

Assemble spider(u5)/intermediate bearing housing(u6) with shaft enclosing tube. Install impeller on the shaft and lock it with the nut/cap nut. Assemble cone with bowl(u5).

In case of unit6 assemble the shaft clamp on the shaft.

Pump Assembly

We have three assemblies with us. Start lowering the pump assembly from bottom to top assembly. After lowering of full pump assembly install gland housing.

Pump Assembly
Thrust

bearing assembly. Fill up the lubricating oil for the bearing. Pump float.(U5-11mm,U66.4mm)

Adjust

Install

pump coupling.

Pump Assembly

Motor pedestal support. Check coupling gap. (measure and cross check pump coupling height with reference from top face of motor pedestal support.) Motor Alignment (use alignment tool for locating shaft to the pump centre.)

Pump Assembly
Couple

the pump after uncouple run of the motor. gland and air breather valve.

Install Carry

out the pump coupled run and check pump vibrations.
