Bintan Island

Bintan Island is the largest island in the Riau Archipelago, which

consists from almost 3,000 large and small islands, immediately across
Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The town of Tanjung Pinang is the capital of this province, located on the south western shore of Bintan.

The island itself has interesting historic remains in Tanjung Pinang and

Penyengat, and offers many opportunities for surfing, adventure and


ecotourism for schools and families, but is also ideal for relaxation and wellness. Bintan as a tourist destination that is worth visiting. Except that presented cultural attractions, Bintan also presents beachs that is very amazing. Some places that you should visit in Bintan are:

Sakera beach
Sakera beach located in the village of Sabung Pereh. Sakera beach is about 7 kilometers. This beach has white sandy beaches interspersed with pine trees and palm trees. Sand beach in here is very soft. We can see panoramic sunset, while enjoying the coastal specialties such as coconut ice. Sakera Coast line is pretty long, and there are huts along the beach for visitors. This place is overgrown with a lot of trees that

make the atmosphere very beautiful and cool, so this place is perfect
for our vacation.

Trikora Beach Trikora beach is quite a popular beach on the Bintan Island. This beach is a

white sand beach, the coastline length about 25 km. Trikora beach is located
in the District of Mount Deer. To reach the beach eventual secession, could be targeted by private or rented vehicle, up to now there is no public transportation that passes through the Trikora beach area. In the middle of the beach, about 100 meters from the coast, there are large rocks that

accumulated to form a small island. It often became a favorite place of


visitors, to sunbathe and feel the strong sea breeze.

Lagoi beach Lagoi beach is located in the District of North Bintan. The beach is so

beautiful and no less to the beaches in the island of Bali and Lombok. With
its beauty, a lot of foreign tourists who visit this beach, like tourist from Singapore. Coconut palms grow neatly on the beach combine with soft white sand, making the atmosphere on the beach was so quite. Plus the sound of the roar of the waves and the crystal clear sea water and sea breeze that hits your body, make this beach worth mentioning as a five-star beach. Many activities can be done at this beach like sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, diving, etc.

Penyengat Island

Penyengat Island is a small island that is approximately 6 km from the


town of Tanjung Pinang. Here you will be served a tour treats history through a unique Malay culture. You can around the island is only by foot. You can see the remains of the royal era and colonial era, such as the mosque of Sultan Riau, Tomb Complex of Raja Jakfar, Tengku Bilik Complex, Castle of King Ali, etc.

Bintan Mountain Mountain, located in the middle of Bintan Island and is also a protected forest areas in which there is a typical tropical rainforest ecosystem that still

maintained its authenticity, both aspects of the flora and fauna. You will find
many interesting things during climb this mountain. Mountain peak is only two hours by foot holds the charming beauty of natural scenery. From the top of the mountain, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery around the island of Bintan.

Kelong

Kelong is a Malay word to describe the offshore platform that built from
wood and usually found in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines. Kelongs are built by local fisherman for fishing purposes. Now, kelongs become

interesting tourism facilities. Kelong located in the middle of the sea. We can
see the ocean all day long. And also we can enjoy sunrise from in the middle of the sea. Kelong is the best place for diving or snorkeling. In the middle of the sea, the sea is so clear. We can see the bottom of the ocean. We can enjoy great views of coral reefs and fishes. The kelong-bintan island is the good tourism facilities to visit. If you want more private activities, fishing could be the choice.
