Renovate the STP and also establish a system for reuse the treated water. Ensure the legal compliance of TNPCB Ensure cost effective solution, easy to operate and reduce the O & M Cost..

BACKGROUND The Standard Chartered Bank, located at Nungambakkam, produced per day maximum 40KLD domestic waste water from their domestic activity. Presently they have own system, that was not suitable for achieve the compliance of TNPCB and their reclamation water requirement. OBSERVATION

OBSERVATION CONTINUE REASONS: Strong strength sewage inflow with FOG. There is no control provision in existing system. Biological activity is disturbed, due to fat & oil. It is affected and damaged the Cacoo system. Aeration: - Blowers are not in working conditions. Present air distribution is not working. High inflow of BOD affect the Cacoo filter efficiency, lackness of recirculation system in the existing system. RECOMMENDATIONS: Improve the Aeration Efficiency Replace the existing blower and installed Aeration recirculation pump and sufficient diffusers for nutrient removal (BOD). Biological activity should be developed inoculate beneficial bacteria. Provide sufficient media in Cacoo system. PROPOSED REPAIR & RENEVATION STRATEGY:
The proposed STP renovation program is designed for utilizing maximum available facility and improve the treatment quality of the waste water (capacity of 40 KLD) through the installation of new blower, recirculation system with pump, Cacoo media replacement & installed the air distribution system with support and accessories.

CONCLUSION:
The proposed scheme is help to produce the reclamation water(for Gardening) and conforming to the standards stipulated by Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board. Ensure cost effectiveness, easy to operate and reduce the O& M Cost.
