Teacher Mei Lin is a Science teacher. She teaches in Sekolah Kebangsaan Air Dalam. She loves to do experiments with the pupils in 6 Bestari.

Last Monday, Teacher Mei Lin and the pupils of 6 Bestari were in the Science laboratory. Teacher Mei Lin explained the procedure of the experiment. She wanted to make a jar of

pickled papayas. She placed all the materials on the table. She
wore an apron. Her pupils gathered around her. They wanted to see clearly the process of the experiment. Firstly, Teacher Mei Lin skinned the juicy papaya using the knife. The pupils were very excited.

Then, Teacher Mei Lin sliced the papaya carefully on the chopping board into small pieces. She used half of the papaya only. Next, she cut some onions too. Later, she placed all the ingredients onto the bowls. The

pupils were looking at her excitedly. After that, she took


a jar of sugar and an empty jar from the cabinet in the laboratory. She put them on the table near the fridge.

Next, Teacher Mei Lin asked Kamal, the class monitor of


6 Bestari, to put the papayas and some onions into the empty jar. She thanked Kamal for his help. Then, Teacher Mei Lin

added three tablespoons of sugar and some vinegar into the


jar. The other pupil, Sarah, stirred the mixture carefully. After that, Teacher Mei Lin put the jar that full of papayas and onions into the green fridge in the laboratory. She asked the pupils to write the procedures of the experiment in their report books. Later, she ended the class.

Two days later, the pupils of 6 Bestari gathered in the Science laboratory again. Teacher Mei Lin took out the jar

from the fridge. She told them that the pickled papayas were
ready to be tasted. She asked the pupils to eat the delicious pickled papayas. The pupils enjoyed the taste of pickled

papayas. They wanted to try doing them at home. Teacher


Mei Lin were as happy as a lark because all of her pupils enjoyed the experiment very much.
