The Past Continuous
Tense
We use the Past Continuous Tense to talk about two
events that were both continuing at the same time in
the past. In this situation, we use the past
continuous for both actions:

2. When the verb ends in an e, we need to drop the e and add ing
paste pasting

3. If a one syllable (with only one vowel sound) verb ends in one
consonant (for example p, t, r) that follows one vowel (for
example a, o, e), we double the consonant.
