I. Paul and Barnabas Disagree


Paul asked Barnabas to visit the churches they had started earlier. Barnabas wanted to take Mark Paul think its not a good idea The disagreement was so sharp that Barnabas went separate ways together with Mark to Cyprus Paul took Silas and went through Syria and Cecilia encouraging the churches.

1.) Lydias conversion and baptism(16:13-15)

Paul met with a group of women in the riverbank to pray. Paul met Lydia and the latter heart was open to what Paul said. Lydia got baptized and insisted that Paul and his friends accept the hospitality of her home.

3.) Accused, beaten, and imprisoned(16:19-24)

Paul

and Silas was dragged before the Magistrates. They were accused as Jewish troublemakers. The magistrates ordered Paul and Silas beaten and imprisoned. They were put into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.

5.) Jailers salvation and baptism (16:29-34) The jailer become aware of his need for salvation Paul answered the question in a straightforward way. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Paul and the others were brought into the jailers house treating their wounds and giving them food. The jailers family rejoiced, believing unto God, they were baptized.

magistrates sent word to set Paul and Silas free and to leave Philippi. Paul refused to leave Philippi Paul demanded that he be escorted out of town First, however, they went to Lydias house
