But, today : The creature blessed with the miracle of birth is considered as a 2nd class citizen.. We have desire for a mother, a sister, a wife but not a daughter We consider woman as the guardian of the respect and honor of a family but they are seen as sexual object in our society

EMPOWERMENT DEFINATION
Chetna Sinha and her husband -both farmers --approached the Reserve Bank of India--idea of founding a bank for rural women.. Today, she is a successful entrepreneur--India's first cooperative bank for rural women -- the Manndeshi Mahila Bank.

Female education
Make it mandatory for rural government employees to send their girl child to school. Increment female teachers. Improve quality of mid day meal to attract children . Professional education for married women. Gender Sensitization.

Pankhuri
A group started by our batch(from April 2012 to October 2012) Concentrating on the education of small children. Helping girls learn.just a small initiative from our side

Started in the year 2010. Conducts blood donation camp each year in the college. In the year 2012 free health check ups were conducted in the village Belra(in roorkee). Eye check-ups were conducted. Cloth donation is also conducted at regular intervals.

Pass Women Reservation Bill. Awareness amongst women about electoral process through mass media. Reforms providing funds for women contesting elections.

Prostitution Legalization
Prostitution should be legalized in our country as it will : i. Security for sex workers and their children. ii. Generate revenue . iii.Decreases child trafficking. iv.Decrease in STD/HIV disease spread, women harassment, sexual violence, rape, etc.

Parveen Khan from Morena, Madhya Pradesh was brutally bitten by her husband on her face for having given birth to a girl child against his wishes.

But today she is nurturing her daughters and leads a normal life!
