Initiative & Formation :

Formed by the 1990 Batch of T.I.T. & S., Bhiwani (The Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences) on April 10, 2007 Initiative triggered by the untimely death of the youngest member of batch Sunil Taneja, in a tragic road accident. Memory of a lost friend with the urge to do something for our society & alma mater, worked as catalyst in Trust formation. Trust started with funds pledged on annual basis for next 10 years by the batch mates.

Reach out to a wider circle in society & touch the lives of those in need. Award scholarships to deserving & needy students in Institutions to promote higher education. Contribution back to the Institute T.I.T. & S. & its alum. Contribution back to the society.

Objectives :
It is the endeavor of TITIANS 1990 Charitable Trust to support more number of students to complete their studies & enable them to make healthy contribution to the growth of TIT&S, Industry and Society in general.

Trust Structure & Working :

All decisions on Trusts activities by two third majority of members.

Trusts activities governed by the guidelines laid down by law for such Charitable Institutions to avoid misuse in any way.

All activities shall be conducted in completely transparent manner.

All decisions related to Trusts activities shall be taken by two third majority of members. Individuals & Corporate contributing to the Trust would be informed about where & how the funds collected are being used.

Sunil Taneja Scholarship & Shikha Scholarship :

Following Scholarships have been instituted by the Trust : Name Sunil Taneja Scholarship Shikha Scholarship Grant Amount 70% of Institute Fee/year

Awarded to the students enrolled in any of the Bachelors degree programs at T.I.T. & S., Bhiwani

Selection Procedure & Criteria :
Applications are invited for grant of Scholarships by the Trust in January / February every year.
Application forms can be obtained by logging into www.titians1990.com and registering with all details. Trusts website

Scholarship awarded based on the merit list prepared by Selection Committee of Board of Trustees, as per the guidelines of Trust, considering :
Applicants family income Overall academic performance Overall participation in College & social activities

Final selection done after personal interview and recommendation by institutes Director / Principal. A new student to be selected each year to avoid complacence & to encourage a spirit of healthy competition. 8

Trusts Funding :
Funds pledged on annual basis for next 10 years by the Founder Members / Trustees. Contributions by Friends, Associates & Corporate. Raise enough seed capital so that the scholarships & other charitable activities are funded from the accrued interest earnings of the seed capital.

Appeal for Contributions :

In order to have a broader support base from other Alumni, Individuals & Corporations to support the Trust's activities, an appeal is being made to give us a show of hand in supporting our Trust. You can simply pledge the funds which you would like to contribute. You can make a one time contribution or can pledge an annual contribution for specific time, such as 5, 10 or 15 years. All contributions shall be eligible for tax benefits under 80G.
