Color or Colour ?

Color or colour is the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to the categories called red, green, blue and others. Color derives from the spectrum of light interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors.

RGB

The RGB color model is an additive color model in which red, green, and blue light are added together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of colors.

RYB

RYB is a historical set of colors used in subtractive color mixing, and was once thought to be the set of primary colors. It is primarily used in art and design education, particularly painting.

Psychology

Psychology is the science and art. of explaining and changing mental processes and behaviors. Its immediate goal is to understand humanity by both discovering general principles and exploring specific cases, and its ultimate aim is to benefit society.

Are these colors the same?

History of Color Psychology


In 1666, English scientist Sir Isaac Newton discovered that when pure white light passes through a prism, it separates into all of the visible colors. Newton also found that each color is made up of a single wavelength and cannot be separated any further into other colors.

Johann Wolfgang Goethe was one of the first people to connect color and psychology, with his book Theory of Colours.
In 1947, Max Luscher took Goethe's theories one step further and actually created a color test for the use of psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, and others involved with the conscious and unconscious characteristics and motivations of others.

Warm Colours

Red Symbolises: Passion, fire, love, lust, war, violence, blood, and aggression Suitable Uses: Where the aim is to motivate an individual to take action, convey a warning, or stop the user. Some believe that: It stimulates the appetite and makes objects seem closer and larger.

Pink Symbolises: Romantic, calming, cute, candy, soft and feminine. Suitable Uses: When you want to appeal to a users caring or romantic side. Orange Symbolises: Vibrant and warm, orange is associated with autumn, pumpkins, citrus and Halloween. It is like a less passionate red. Suitable Uses: Could be used for food sites, nature sites.

Yellow Symbolises: sunshine, caution, construction, happy, cheerful, warmth, hope, light, energy, weakness or illness, or symbolize cowardice. Suitable Uses: To make a webpage seem brighter and more spring like.

Cool Colours
Green Symbolises: spring, renewal, fertility, jealousy, inexperience, health, growth (vegetation) and wealth (money). Suitable Uses: Great for websites about money and growing. Blue Symbolises: sky, sea, intelligence, reassurance, and trust but can also signify depression and sadness. Suitable Uses: Make a website feel formal.

Purple Symbolises: creativity, spiritual and mysterious.


Deep purple is associated with royalty and richness while lavender is associated with romance and nostalgia.

Neutral Colours

Black Symbolises: power, elegance, and sophistication, death (Western culture), evil, anger and sadness. Just to be on the safe side, do not use over a wide area. White Symbolises: cleanliness, purity, and spirituality. It represents life and marriage in Western cultures, but it represents death in Eastern cultures.

Grey Symbolises: conservativeness, security, maturity and reliability, but it can also signify gloominess and sadness.

Brown Symbolises: readability and stability, the hearth, home and the earth.

Which president you trust more ?

When its a meeting with the EU, where he wants to get his message across, and demonstrate the power of the US, its red for power and aggression

when the president needs the countries support, or wants to show strength but compassion, you'll see blue tones in how he dresses because blue is a color of stability and loyalty

And in a situation where he is going as an in between, say to Israel for meetings with Palestine and Israel, its brown so that he comes off as everyones friend because brown is a none threatening color.
