GENERAL
Tuberculosis is a disease of respiratory tract infections are common in Indonesia. Delay in diagnosis and adherence to treatment has a great impact because TB patients will transmit the disease to the environment, so the number of patients is increasing. If not treated properly the disease can lead to death for the sufferer.

PREVALENCE

Cought and phlegm countinously

INHA 400 ( Isoniazid, Vit B6) Dosage: Adults 4-5 mg/kg/daily, maximum 300 mg/daily. Children 10-20 mg/daily. Side effects: peripheral Neuritis, optic neuritis, nekrotis anti-hepatotoxic, insomnia, hypersensitivity reaction, agranulocytosis, hepatitis (mainly in patients > 35years), other side effects that occur are the mouth feels dry.

RIFAMPICIN (RIMACTANE)
Dosage and Adminitration: Mycobacterial Infection:Tuberculosis: Adult Weighing ,50kg: 450mg daily; 50kg: 600mg daily. Children: 1020 mg/kg daily. Maximum permissible daily dose : 600mg Side effects: The most common is skin rash, fever, reddish of urine, sputum, nausea and vomiting

RIMACTAZID Rifampicin, Isoniazid Dosage and Administration : Adults: Rimactazid 225/200 is intended for use in patients weighing 47-50kg; patients in this weight group, with regard to body constitution, are in a relativety good state of nutrition. Patients with body weight <50kg: one Rimactazid 450/300 captab daily. The usual dosage is 2 captabs once daily = 450mg rifampicin + 400mg INH.
Pharmacology: Rifampicin inhibits the DNA-dependent RNA polymerase of sensitive bacterial strains. Isoniazid is a specific antituberculoos agent exerting a strong bacteridal effect mainly on rapidly growing population of Mycobacterium tuberculosis

If not treated properly the disease can lead to death for the sufferer Management care give BCG immunization in infants Avoid contact with infected person
