INTRODUCTION

The territory of Iran in the category of middle eastern

countries which has an area of1,648,195 square kilometers with a population in 2006 of 7,270,198 inhabitants.
Economic levels in the country in 2006 is classified as

a medium in 2004amounted to U.S. $ 2,439. This country has a HDI ranking 96th of 177 countries and EDI to 86 of 125 countries.

OBJECTIVES
According to the document approved by the supreme

council of education in 1998, the national development is a major goal for education namely to improve productivity achieve social and national integration, including social values, moral and spiritual beliefs with an emphasis on the encouragement of Islam.
Objectives approved by the council also stressed education

on the development of human resources for the differing economic levels and therefore education is seen as an investment for the future.

BUDGET
Education ministries estimate in 1996 was 6130 miliyar riyals

(RI), is 3.8% of the State budget.


The agreed estimate is 5455.6 miliyar RI riyals, but to provide

bailouts for education ministries, several additional supplemental funds have been allotted and education budget increased to RI miliyar 6130 riyals.
In addition, to increase the budget, some consensus has been

agreed for the last two years to provide a source of new funds for education ministries.
In 2003, total funding of education (including pre-primary

education to university) number RI 39, 880 miliyar riyals or 12% of the total State budget in 2001.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL
The school system is under the Ministry of

Education and Training.


In addition In addiction to schools, the

Ministry also has responsibility for some teacher training and some institutions.
Department of Education gave the task with the

highest number of civil servants namely 42% and receive 21% of the national budget.
A total of 15,018,903students were

enrolled in schools with grade 87 024 485 186 across the country in the 1990-1991 academic year.

With the details as follows: 509 schools for children

with disabilities, 3,586kindergartens, elementary schools 59 280, 15 580 Junior High School, 4515 High School, 380 School of Engineering, 405 commercial learning and vocational schools, 64 School of Agriculture, 238 cities and 182 rural primary school teachers'training colleges, Seven vocational and professional teacher training coll eges and 19 institutes of technology. There are also 2,259 schools adult education.

PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION
Pre-school education policy to be encountered only for

1 year 5 years old.


However, before primary school education is not

compulsory.
There is no test at the end of this school and the kids

will automatically proceed to the next education.

CURRICULUM
PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION At the pre-school, children are taught about learning languages, math instruction, and science concepts, and especially on religious values and beliefs.
In addition it also includes the activities such as skills

competency hand, cut, print, drawing, storytelling, play, and work.

CONCLUSION
Education in Iran have the pre-school education for 1

year.
