Delta Training
To understand and successfully complete this course, a student must have a suitable Clariion knowledgebase and experience with Clariion hardware. A strong understanding of Navisphere features and functionality along with experience of previous flare and hardware releases
Overview
This training is delivered as a blended learning course
Web based blended learning
Interactive Simulations Video demonstrations Remote access to equipment
CX4-240c
CX4-480c CX4-960c
CX4 = Fourth generation of Hardware In a similar way to the previous release of CX hardware the last 3 digits indicate the maximum amount of connected drives
New Features
Flexports
Modular Front end port configurations
Greater Resilience
GWCA (Greater Write Cache Availability)
Cache
Greater Write Cache Availability Two Independent Features
Persistent Memory
Cache retained through Storage Processor restarts Recovery algorithms obtain last valid write cache data
Enhanced Performance
Increased Write cache Write cache enabled in degraded mode Restarts, NDUs etc.
OFF
Flare
One single Flare Bundle for all Reduce confusion Code enumeration for release 28 04.28.000.x.xxx.

Navisphere Domains
To Manage CX4 Arrays the Navi UI must be release 28 In a storage domain with multiple storage systems of different generations the domain master must be one of the following.
CX4 series on Release 28 CX3 series on Release 26
CX series on Release 24
Or Off Array management must be used where the Navisphere UI version is release 28
Zoning
Open zoning to be used with caution
More Front end ports
Mirrorview Ports
No longer just the highest port on the Array Mirrorview ports are assigned by Flare at initial Power on of array If additional Front end ports are added the Mirrorview port will remain in the same place At initial Power on
