I/O Modules
I/O Modules in each Storage Processor must match

Location of SFPs in each Storage Processor must match (Back-end Ports and Front-end Ports)
I/O Modules can be added with Data in Place
Utilizes NST wizard to install and configure modules

Once a port is added and persisted it cannot be changed

Replacing an I/O Module


I/O Modules are not hot pluggable
Use CLI to shutdown the affected SP
Naviseccli h <IP ADD> -user <username> -password <password> -scope 0 shutdownsp

Make note of labels and remove all FE and BE Cables Replace the I/O Module

Reboot the SP
Use CLI pointed to the running SP
Naviseccli h <IP ADD> -user <username> -password <password> -scope 0 rebootpeersp Verify operation in Navisphere Reconnect all cables into correct locations

Navisphere Domains
To Manage CX4 Arrays the Navi UI must be release 28 In a storage domain with multiple storage systems of different generations the domain master must be one of the following.
CX4 series on Release 28 CX3 series on Release 26

CX series on Release 24

Or Off Array management must be used where the Navisphere UI version is release 28
