As a result of the existing Status of Forces Agreement with Afghanistan and Iraq Status of Forces Agreement, dated January 2009, contractor
personnel filling HTT requirements MUST convert to government employment prior to deployment.
Average period of performance for Team Member contractor positions prior to deployment as a government Term Hire is equal to approximately
6 months.
Current Team Composition includes: Team Leader (1); Social Scientist (1); Research Manager (1); Human Terrain Analyst (2).
The contractor shall provide analytical, advisory and technical expertise that supports fully embedded Human Terrain Teams (HTTs) deployed
with a BCT/RCT to a Combatant Command’s theater of operations. The support shall be provided at Forward Operating Bases within Iraq and
Afghanistan, but can grow at the direction of TRADOC G-2 HTS to other locations. General and specific requirements include:
•Operate a variety of PC hardware and software, including Microsoft Office 2007 version of Outlook PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word
and Internet Explorer. Operate databases, produce graphs, briefings, background papers, and reports.
•Engage, brief and persuade superiors and colleagues regarding plans, recommendations, decisions, and actions.
•Operate in austere urban and desert environments in Iraq or Afghanistan, alongside U.S. Military forces.
•Deploy on street-level mounted and dismounted patrol activities with military forces in hostile threat environments across Iraq or
Afghanistan which include wearing individual body armor which weighs up to 75 lbs.
•Predict patterns and motives for behavior in certain demographic groups.
•Analyze event statistics to determine patterns and methods of criminal enterprise.
•Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding relationships among seemingly
unrelated events).
