Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him).

* indicated the method of searching knowledge * Read in the name of your Lord Who has created. He has
created man from a clot. Read and your Lord is the most generous Who has taught by the pen. He has taught man which he knew not ( Al- Alaq 96:1-5) comprehension about knowledge.

the divine gift of giving the human the ability to learn and write, and ability that puts the homo sapiens above all to Gods other creations acquired in the name of and for the sake of Allah.

* it is obligatory that reading is to be undertaken or knowledge

Education in Islam is twofold:

- acquiring intellectual knowledge (through the application of reason and logic). -developing spiritual knowledge (gained from divine revelation and spiritual experience). -According to the worldview of Islam, provision in education must be made equally for both. Acquiring knowledge in Islam is not proposed as an end but as a means to stimulate a more lifted moral and spiritual consciousness, leading to faith and righteous action.

1. To seek knowledge no matter where we are * education has been greatly emphasized in Islam and repeatedly in the Quran, which is the basic source of guideline for Muslims. * it is also one of the way to approach the Creator of all exists. * It can provide the teachings of Holy Quran as the first step of education and helps people especially kids to have faith in Almighty Allah. * With knowledge, we can strengthen our faith in Allah. * We need to seek knowledge since we are small and learn from the basic such as learn to read Muqaddam, learn to perform prayer and and how to recite Holy Quran in a right tajwid. * When we are good in reciting Quran, we can learn to understand the meaning of every sentence in Quran and will be more engrossed and sincere during reciting Quran or performing prayer. * seeking education in Islam is obligatory, and that knowledge is considered to be the path towards greater closeness to Allah.

Verse 96/1-5 states that "Read! In the Name of your Lord who has created (all that exists). He has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous. Who has taught (the writing) by the pen. He has taught man that which he knew not. "
Verse 20/114 says, "My Lord! Increase me in knowledge." This verse indicates that whatever we know is limited and we need to keep asking Allah to increase our knowledge.

2. To take care of someones behaviour. -With education, people can think rationally and will know what is right and wrong. -We will never know how to use our brains wisely without education and bad things will happen in this world such as everyone will kill and rob each other. -Education can train people to obey rules and regulations in this world especially among the youngsters. -People can think wisely and can avoid from doing things that are prohibited by Allah. -It is also to construct a discipline dealing with worldview matters. Those truly fear God, among His Servants, who have knowledge: for God is exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving. Surah 35:28.

3.To provide experiences in the form of knowledge and skills. -These experiences are likely to be changed in the light of changes in society. -With the help of education, we can apply the skills that we learn and use it to handle any difficult situations. -It enables people to live successfully and usefully by utilizing this knowledge for the benefit of individuals and the societies they live in. -However, our sole purpose of seeking knowledge should not be just for worldly gains but to seek the pleasure of Allah in whatever we do.

4.To develop and disseminate in a manner that recognizes Allah S.W.T as Lord and Creator of the universe and man and his servant as well as as vicegerent on earth. -This knowledge is to be utilized in accordance with His will and any endeavour which is to be considered as an act of Ibadah (worship). -So great is the importance of knowledge in the eyes of Allah as well as His Prophet, that prayer being Oh my lord, increase my knowledge (Taha 20:114). -According to a hadith, pursuit of knowledge is obligatory on very Muslim. In other Prophetic Traditions, an individual is encouraged to seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave, even if this means seeking knowledge in China. -Education and knowledge is light and guidance. -Revelation raises it to be farthest heights of honour and makes it a key to righteousness and success. -Knowledge raises a person to the most elevated ranks in this life and the hereafter. -The Quran appreciates and praises the people of knowledge in different ways through many of its verses such as There is no god but He: That is the witness of Allah, His Angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice.. (Ali-Imran 3:18).

5.To serve the earth and humankind to be a responsible vicegerent in the world . -This counts that serving humanity and applying the principles of justice for all. -Justice is very important for peace and social harmony. -justice requires protecting individuals rights, as well as the fair distribution of wealth and resources and it is a human value in Islam. -Unawareness and illiteracy would prevent the performance of justice as it is taught in the Quran and the hadith of the Prophet. -Therefore, education and knowledge are the most important for the achievement of justice and social harmony in Islam. -The Quran states that individuals bear a responsibility towards the community. Verse 5/2 states: and help one another in goodness and piety, and do not help one another in sin and aggression; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah.

Ibn Sina - he sees the aims of education as the overall growth of the individual which are physical, mental, and moral, followed by the preparation of this by individual to live in a society through a chosen chose trade according to his attitudes. -So Ibn Sina education does not neglect physical development and everything implied by it; physical exercises, food and drink, sleep and cleanliness. -It does not aim exclusively at the intellectual development and the amassing of knowledge; likewise Ibn Sina does not devote his attention to the moral aspect alone, but aims at the formation of a personality complete body, mind and character.
