Competence Standards
These are statements that describe what the industry accepts as effective performance in the workplace. This includes the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to do the job describe the work that is performed and are expressed as outcomes focus on workplace activity rather than training or personal attributes capture the ability to apply skills in new situations and changing work organization These standards are expressed in the form of discrete unit of competence
Unit of Competence
Describes a specific work activity, the conditions under which it is conducted and the evidence that may be gathered in order to determine whether the activity is being performed in a competent manner

This unit covers the knowledge, skills and attitudes required in the performance of spinning operation. The work task start from the loading of the machine until the production of yarn.
Elements
