Code allocation
-RNC-controlled static or dynamic code allocation is enabled through the parameter AllocCodeMode. NodeB-controlled dynamic code allocation is enabled through the parameter DynCodeSw. -The dynamic code allocation controlled by the NodeB is more flexible than that controlled by the RNC. It shortens the response time and saves the Iub signaling used for code reallocation.

Page 5
The Allocate Code Mode is set to Manual, which means the code allocation will be determined by Node B instead of RNC Code number is valid only if the mode is manual. HS-SCCH code number is set as 2, this will make the maximum available codes left for HSDPA is only 15. HSDPA must be activated.

If the Allocation Code Mode is set to manual (as mentioned in previous slide), the Dynamic Code Switch must set to OPEN at Node B side to allocate the code.

In order for the HSDPA to function, the HSDPA Function and HSDPA RRM Package1 must be activated (YES) The Max HS-PDSCH Code Number will be determined by how many of the Local Cell. Each local cell need at least 15 codes.

Type of Channel Preferably Carrying Signaling RB (HSUPA(UL_EDCH,DL_DCH)) In order to achieve HSUPA 5.76Mbps, the SRB over HSUPA must be turn on. The traffic threshold is to determine whether the service is carried out on HSDUA or not

Other than the SRB over HSUPA, the HSUPA TTI_2ms must be activated as well to obtain HSUPA 5.76.

HSPA+ is similar to HSDPA, just that it added one more Modulation Schemes, which is 64QAM. Thus, in RNC, the HSDPA_64QAM_Switch must be turned on in order to use HSPA+

Page 15
Other than RNC level, the 64QAM and DL L2Enhanced function on Cell level must be activated as well.

Page 16
The license in Node B is similar with HSDPA, but the license for Local cells to support DL 64QAM must be activated as well.

DC-HSPA+ is using the same HSPA+ technique, but with data from two different frequencies, F1 & F2 (Dual Cell) Hence, the 64QAM and HSDPA DC switch must be activated.

In the Fundamental Resource Configuration (FRC), the preference used of technology must be selected as DC-HSDPA

During the cell level, 64QAM, DL L2Enhanced and DCHSDPA function switch must be turned on.

In order for DC-HSPA+ to work, the TCell (Time Offset) for F1 & F2, must be set as the same value.
Page 22

The license in Node B for the DC must be activated so that the local cell can support the DC function.

The two cells at the same sector must be set in the dual cell group at the Node B side.
