This is a presentation that has mainly focused to provide information about the Econect Builders and Construction Company The information provided here is true and it is free to change due to the understandable changing environmental factors
History of formation
The construction company was formed in the year 1997 During the time of formation, there were only thirty five (35) members The appointment of members was not based on the geographical locations On the first formation the operations were based in Kakamega town
Membership
It was agreed that for one to become a member the following terms were to be observed
o One must of be above 30 years of age o Must be in the position to support the company by all means in any form of crisis o All members wanting to vie for administrative positions must have good and qualified expertise in the field of administration
Dissolution
Dissolution may occur if:
o Mutual agreement by the members o Persistent experience of loses o If the operations go against those agreed upon
Financing
The firm agreed on different sources where they were to source their finances that were to help them in their effective operations. They agreed that the finances were going to come from:
o Ploughing back of profits o Membership contributions o Bank loans
Areas of operation
The founder members agreed to carry out their operations in different parts of the country. It was agreed so, so that their could be a diversified business operation so as to increase their service delivery in both parts of the country. Any external country operations could only be done through adequate proof and by signing of contracts strictly by recognized institutions
Challenges
The company has come to faced a number of challenges ever since it was formed. Most of this challenges have greatly affected this its operations. A number of the challenges have been witnessed. This challenges are said to be both external and internal
Internal challenges
Misappropriation of funds Misunderstandings among the officials Nepotism has been witnessed to be practised by certain officals
External Challenges
Competition from the external firms Unfavourrable political regulations Climate change that has adversly affected its operations Poor infrastructure
Marketing
The company has continued to market itself through different forms such as advertisements through newspapers, radios, televisions, road shows and also through attending different shows and showing their exbihitions
