TRANSFORMER REACTOR TRANSPORTATION UNLOADING ERECTION

A transformer is a device that transfers electrical energy from one circuit to another through inductively coupled conductors the transformer's coils. It is based on two principles: 1. An electric current can produce a magnetic field (electromagnetism) 2. A changing magnetic field within a coil of wire induces a voltage across the ends of the coil (electromagnetic induction).

CONVERTER TRANSFORMER

HVDC Converter Transformer

The HVDC (high voltage direct current) converter transformer is a key component in an HVDC transmission system. It is used to transfer power between two voltage levels. It provides galvanic separation between the AC and DC systems. A fairly large tapping range permits optimum operation even for a large variation in load without loss of efficiency.

Checking the moisture in the tank

Check the nitrogen pressure in the tank

Take the readings of impact recorder to check any sudden and heavy impact occurred during transportation

Checking the healthiness of insulation Apply a DC voltage of 500 Volt between the terminal bushings for a period 1 min., until the insulating resistance is quite stable.and measure the insulating resistance between the core and frame.,the core and earth and between the frame and earth.
