How ACC performed CSR?

ACC corporate social responsibilities focus on holistic development of the society and creates social , environmental and economic value for the society.
CSR activities has been performed by its CSR team which have been made under the gaudiness of plant Director, Business head and CEO. A formal community advisory panel (CAP) constituted in each plant location consisting local stakeholder and opinion leaders. The project and action plane has been implemented through the collaboration with Government, NGOS and development banks.

Enhancing literacy and education for the society
ACC has established schools at its every location that provided high qualities education Technology initiatives education such as smart classes rooms thats total 38000 students benefited. ACC constitutes for support 7 Government run IITS to upgrade education system.

Livelihood, employability and income generation

Skill development programme ACC Damodhar plant vocational training Wadi plant partnerd with L&T skills training institutes

Women empowerment
ACC has encourage the women's to form self help group around its plant location. In 2012 7000 SHG has been benefited ACC constitutes ACC AHEAD(Association of health, education and development)

Health and sanitation

Health and mobile van health service In 2012 in total 1,35,009 people has been benefited Ante and post natal care and growth monitoring programme Combat against HIV/AIDS

Clean and Green Habitat

Project at Madukkarai, on effective disposal of solid and domestic waste in project area. 1.5 tonnes of plastic waste is consumed by the cement kiln as an alternative fuel.

Disaster Relief
Contribution by way of cash, food and clothing to help victims of calamities such as:- earthquake, Himachal Pradesh floods , Orissa cyclone.

Gujarat Masons Training

Contribution to the rebuilding effort after the 2001 earthquake in Gujarat. Provide construction related training to over 2500 unemployment person in natural calamities affected places.

Conservation of Heritage ,Infrastructure

Use factory resources in the restoration of several national heritage across the country. School , Safe Drinking Water, Bus Stop etc.
