Functions of MGW in the CDMA network


The MGW incorporates the MRFP to convert the format of

media streams, play announcement, and provide conference


resources and other media resources.

MGW incorporates SG functions and can realize signaling


interworking between the IP bear and the SS7 signaling network.

The VLR is a dynamic database for subscribers. It stores the Information of the subscribers currently in its MSC area. The VLR is integrated with the MSCe physically.

The HLR is a database for mobile subscriber management.

Function
The CMPT implements data transmission between the BTS and the BSC, controls and manages the BTS, and provides clock signals for the BTS. The HCPM processes 1X service data on the forward and reverse channels. The HECM processes the EVDO service data on the forward and reverse channels.

The UTRP realizes connection between the BBU3900 and the BSC. It also supports the E1/T1 transmission and IP transmission.
The UELP provides lightning protection for E1/T1 signals of the BBU3900. The UFLP provides lightning protection for FE signals of the BBU3900. The FAN is the main component for heat dissipation of the BBU3900. The UPEU provides the power conversion from -48 V/+24 V DC to +12 V DC and the environment monitoring signal port for the BBU3900. The USCU provides the input port for external signals, such as satellite clock signals, and provides the clock synchronization for the BBU3900 and the RF modules connected with the USCU.
